UPDATE: Waste Management Posts Downbeat Q4 Results
Waste Management (NYSE: WM) posted a loss in the fourth quarter.
Waste Management expects 2014 adjusted earnings of $2.30 to $2.35 per share, versus analysts' estimates of $2.41 per share.
Waste Management swung to a quarterly loss of $605 million, or $1.29 per share, versus a year-ago profit of $224 million, or $0.48 per share. Excluding special items, it earned $0.56 per share.
Its revenue climbed 1.9% to $3.5 billion. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.61 per share on revenue of $3.58 billion.
Waste Management shares fell 4.95% to $41.50 in pre-market trading.
