Thomson Reuters TRI posted a loss in the fourth quarter.
Thomson Reuters swung to a quarterly loss of $351 million, or $0.43 per share, versus a year-ago profit of $352 million, or $0.42 per share. Excluding one-time items, its adjusted earnings came in at $0.49 per share.
Its revenue slipped 2.6% to $3.28 billion. However, analysts were estimating a profit of $0.52 per share on revenue of $3.28 billion.
Thomson Reuters' board lifted its annual dividend by $0.02 per share to $1.32 per share.
Thomson Reuters shares closed at $36.60 yesterday.
