Tupperware Brands (NYSE: TUP) reported a 5.2% rise in its third-quarter earnings and narrowed its full-year forecast.

Tupperware now expects full-year earnings of $5.45 to $5.50 per share, versus its earlier forecast of $5.44 to $5.54 per share.

Tupperware's quarterly profit surged to $49.9 million, or $0.95 per share, from $47.5 million, or $0.85 per share, in the year-ago period. Excluding special items, it earned $1 per share.

Its revenue rose 1.5% to $603.2 million. The company in July had expected adjusted earnings of $0.99 to $1.04 per share on sales growth of 3% to 5%.

Tupperware shares closed at $94.20 yesterday.
