Harley-Davidson HOG reported a 21% rise in its third-quarter earnings.
Harley's quarterly profit surged to $162.7 million, or $0.73 per share, from $134 million, or $0.59 per share, in the year-ago period.
Its revenue rose 8.4% to $1.18 billion. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.73 per share on revenue of $1.17 billion.
Harley's motorcycle shipments gained 2.3% to 54,025.
Harley shares gained 2.21% to $67.00 in pre-market trading.
