Transat Posts Surge In Q3 Profit

Canada's Transat AT (OTC: TRZBF) reported a strong rise in its Q3 profit.

Transat's quarterly net income surged to C$41.1 million ($39.8 million), or C$1.07 a share, versus C$9.4 million, or 25 Canadian cents a share, in the year-ago period.

Its adjusted profit climbed to C$30.8 million, or 80 Canadian cents a share, versus C$10.5 million, or 28 Canadian cents a share, in the year-ago period.

Transat's revenue gained 2% to C$927.0 million.
