Russia's Uralkali reported a 53% drop in its first-half net profit.
Uralkali's net profit for the period declined to $397 million, versus $842 million, in the year-ago period. However, analysts were expecting a profit of $521 million.
Its net revenue declined 29% to $1.35 billion, while earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation dropped 40% to $876 million.
