UPDATE: Buckle Q2 Profit Surges 8.3%
Buckle (NYSE: BKE) reported an 8.3% rise in its fiscal second-quarter earnings.
Buckle's quarterly profit surged to $25.1 million, or $0.52 per share, from $23.2 million, or $0.49 per share, in the year-ago period. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.52 per share.
Its gross margin rose to 40.6% from 40.1%. Its sales climbed 7.9% to $232.5 million, while same-store sales increased 3.2%.
Buckle shares closed at $53.03 yesterday.
