The company reported net income of $73.35 million or $0.61 per share, compared to $67.68 million or $0.57 per share, in last year's corresponding period. This missed analysts' consensus estimates of $0.64.
Revenue for the period was $1.29 billion, a gain versus the $1.17 billion that J.B. Hunt reported last year. This was in-line with analysts' consensus revenue expectations of $1.29 billion.
