UPDATE: LDK Solar Posts Wider Q2 Loss

LDK Solar Co Ltd LDK posted a wider-than-expected second-quarter loss. LDK Solar projects Q3 revenue of $220 million to $260 million, versus analysts' estimates of $453.6 million. LDK Solar posted a quarterly loss of $254.3 million, or $2.00 per American depository share, versus a year-ago net loss of $87.7 million, or $0.62 per ADS. Its net sales tumbled 53% to $235.4 million. However, analysts were expecting a loss of $1.43 per ADS on revenue of $237.5 million. LDK Solar shares closed at $1.24 on Friday.
