Kazakhmys PLC KZMYY swung to a pretax profit for the six months ended June 30.
Its revenue dropped to $1.52 billion, from $1.81 billion, in the year-ago period. Its adjusted EBITDA fell to $949 million, from $1.61 billion.
Kazakhmys' pretax profit came in at $178 million, versus a year-ago loss of $2 million. Its underlying profit declined to $307 million, from $866 million.
Kazakhmys declared an interim dividend of 3 cents a share, versus 8 cents per share.
