Woodside Petroleum H1 Net Profit Down 1.9%

Woodside Petroleum Ltd WOPEY reported a 1.9% drop in its first-half net profit. Woodside's net profit for the period declined to US$812 million, versus US$828 million, in the year-ago period. Its underlying profit climbed 4.5% to US$865 million, versus analysts' estimates of US$885 million. Woodside shares gained 3.27% to close at $37.85 yesterday.
