UPDATE: CenturyLink Posts Decline In Q2 Profit
CenturyLink (NYSE: CTL) reported a drop in its second-quarter profit.
CenturyLink's quarterly profit fell to $74 million, or $0.12 per share, from $115 million, or $0.19 per share, in the year-ago period.
Its operating revenue rose to $4.6 billion, from $4.4 billion. CenturyLink's adjusted profit came in at $0.65 per share. However, analysts were projecting earnings of $0.61 per share on revenue of $4.6 billion.
CenturyLink shares closed at $42.02 yesterday.
