Whirlpool WHR reported weaker-than-expected second-quarter sales.
Whirlpool's quarterly sales declined 4.6% to $4.51 billion, versus analysts' estimates of $4.63 billion.
Whirlpool posted a quarterly net profit of $113 million, or $1.43 per share, versus a year-ago net loss of $161 million, or $2.10 per share. Excluding items, the company earned $1.55 per share.
Whirlpool shares closed at $67.31 yesterday.
