Kabel Deutschland Posts Q4 Profit, Projects Rise In Sales

Kabel Deutschland Holding AG KBDHF posted a net profit in the fiscal fourth quarter. It also expects sales to rise this fiscal year. It projects revenue to surge 7.5% to 8.5% in the fiscal year ending Mar. 31, 2013. Kabel Deutschland posted a quarterly net profit of 59.5 million euros, versus a net loss of EUR153 million in the year-ago period. Its revenue rose 8.5% to EUR407 million. However, analysts were expecting a net profit of EUR57 million on sales of EUR438 million. Its adjusted earnings before interests, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) gained 8.9% to EUR205.6 million, versus analysts' estimates of EUR204 million. The company also proposed a dividend of EUR1.50 per share for the fiscal year. It also announced its plans to acquire Berlin-based company Tele Columbus GmbH for EUR618 million.
