Central Rand Gold Posts Narrower 2011 Loss

Central Rand Gold PLC reported a narrower 2011 pretax loss. Central Rand Gold posted an operating loss of $14.41 million, versus a loss of $73.11 million in 2010. Its pretax loss came in at $16.095 million, versus a loss of $71.23 million in 2010. Central Rand Gold's loss per share was 1.01 cents, versus a loss of 4.51 cents in 2010. Central Rand Gold produced 14,856 ounces of gold in 2011, versus 9,321 ounces in 2010.
