Alibaba.com Q3 Net Profit Rises 12%

Alibaba.com Ltd ALBIY reported a 12% rise in its third-quarter net profit. Alibaba.com's quarterly net profit gained to CNY409.7 million, from CNY366.1 million, in the year-ago period. Its revenue climbed 11% to CNY1.60 billion from CNY1.45 billion. However, analysts were expecting a net profit of CNY430.1 million on revenue of CNY1.67 billion. Alibaba.com shares closed at $5.65 on Wednesday.
