China Telecom Reports 10% Rise In Net Profit

China Telecom Corp CHA reported a 10% rise in its January-September net profit. China Telecom's net profit for the period climbed to CNY13.86 billion ($2.18 billion), from CNY12.59 billion, in the year-ago period. Its revenue gained 12% to CNY182.36 billion from CNY163.16 billion. China Telecom shares dropped 0.73% to close at $65.02 yesterday.
