Eni Reports Upbeat Q3 Profit

Eni SpA E reported a 2.7% rise in its third quarter net profit. Eni's quarterly net profit rose to EUR1.77 billion, from EUR1.72 billion, in the year-ago period. Eni's adjusted net profit gained 7% to EUR1.80 billion from EUR1.68 billion. However, analysts were expecting a profit of EUR1.51 billion. Eni shares gained 3.96% to $46.76 in pre-market trading.
