Generative AI Play: Getty Images Joins Forces With Nvidia to Combat Deepfake Images

Getty Images Holdings, Inc GETY launched 'Generative AI by Getty Images' Tuesday. This new tool pairs the company's best-in-class creative content with the latest AI technology for a commercially safe generative AI tool.

'Generative AI by Getty Images,' trained on the state-of-the-art Edify model architecture, is part of Nvidia Corp NVDA Picasso, a foundry for generative AI models for visual design.

The tool is trained solely from Getty Images' vast creative library, including exclusive premium content, with full indemnification for commercial use.

The tool works seamlessly with the company's expansive library of authentic and compelling visuals and Custom Content solutions.

Users creating and downloading visuals through the tool will receive Getty Images' standard royalty-free license, which includes representations and warranties, uncapped indemnification, and the right to perpetual, worldwide, nonexclusive use in all media.

Content generated through the tool will not add to existing Getty Images and iStock content libraries for others to license. Further, Getty will compensate contributors for any inclusion of their content in the training set.

AI-generated deepfake content is a potential destabilizer for financial markets, per the chair of the U.S. SEC, Gary Gensler.

Alphabet Inc GOOG GOOGL Google DeepMind developed a new SynthID technology to prevent users from removing watermarks from AI-generated images. It will help Google spot fake news wherein people try to associate AI-generated images with real or alleged incidents.

Price Action: GETY shares traded higher by 4.10% at $6.35 on the last check Tuesday.
