Pentagon's New Website Labels Japan As Major UFO Hotspot

The Pentagon has recognized Japan as a key area for UFO sightings, based on 27 years’ worth of previously undisclosed data, The Telegraph reported.

The U.S. government has unveiled a new website expected to serve as a central hub for reporting “Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena” (UAP), the official term for UFOs and unexplained sea objects.

The All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office’s (AARO) website displays a map indicating the regions with the highest sightings, using data from 1996 to 2023. A significant hotspot is located around western and southern Japan, near Nagasaki and Hiroshima.

Japan’s Self Defence Force has been recording unexplained aerial sightings since 2020, despite the government’s claims that its pilots have not encountered any UFOs. The U.S. Department of Defense’s release of three videos showing unexplained objects moving across the sky has raised concerns.

The AARO is currently accepting suspected UAP sighting submissions from military and government personnel. Civilian pilots are also encouraged to report any unverified UFOs to air traffic controllers, who relay the information back to the government.

The AARO’s director, Dr. Sean Kirkpatrick, has stated that the organization has found no substantial evidence of extraterrestrial activity or objects that violate known physical laws. Nevertheless, UFOs have become a significant political issue in the United States, following claims by former intelligence officer David Grusch that the government has withheld UFO-related information from the public.
