Apple's Upcoming iOS 17 Update: iPhone Users Must Prepare For A Significant Change

iPhone users will soon have to make a major adjustment in managing calls – Apple Inc. AAPL has tweaked the latest iOS 17 beta update.

What Happened: Apple has changed the position of the "End Call" button in the latest iOS 17 beta update, moving it to the lower right corner at the bottom of the screen, away from the centered position earlier. This change will challenge the muscle memory of iPhone users.

The big red button is currently placed in the center of the bottom part of the call screen in iOS 16. All the other buttons, like mute, keypad, speaker, and more, are in the middle part of the display.

However, the entire interface has been tweaked in the iOS 17 developer beta 5 update. Apple has pushed all the buttons toward the bottom of the screen and rearranged their positions. The contacts button has been removed, and the "End Call" button has been placed.

iOS 17 Developer Beta 5 Changes: Apple has also made a slew of other changes and additions in the latest iOS 17 developer beta 5 update as it inches closer to the final release in September.

Amongst the top changes include real-time voicemail transcriptions, new contact posters which show up whenever a person in your contacts calls you, and a more refined Mental Wellbeing page with improved animations. Apple has also added a new splash screen in the Safari browser when private browsing is enabled.

The iOS 17 update is expected to be announced in September, shortly after Apple launches the iPhone 15 series.
