Apple Watch Series 9 To Introduce A Bold New Color — But Not All Fans Are Impressed

Apple Inc. AAPL consumers are abuzz with anticipation as rumors suggest that the upcoming Watch Series 9 might introduce a new color option — but not everyone is happy about this potential addition to the lineup.

What Happened: Apple is rumored to launch the Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 at its hardware event in September, alongside the iPhone 15 series.

According to Apple leaker ShrimpApplePro, the tech giant plans to release the Watch Series 9 with a fresh twist: a “pink” color option.

In addition to the pink color option for the Series 9, the Twitter source also mentioned the Apple Watch Ultra 2, which is expected to come in a stunning black titanium color variant. 

The rumors about these new color options have generated mixed reactions among Apple enthusiasts. One user stated, “I had a 7 45mm in Starlight and loved it. Planned on matching it to my upcoming 14 ProMax, but they discontinued Starlight for the iPhone 14 ProMax. That burned. So since then, I stick to the core Apple colors.”

Apple has a history of introducing new color options with its devices. While some users embrace the novelty of fresh and distinctive colors, others prefer to stick with the more traditional options.

Why It’s Important: Aside from the color options, the Apple Watch Series 9 and the Apple Watch Ultra 2 are rumored to be equipped with new processors, promising notable boosts in performance compared to their predecessors. 

Bloomberg’s previous reports also suggested that Apple intends to reduce the packaging size for this year’s model, in line with its ongoing efforts to enhance environmental sustainability.
