Hyundai Misses 2022 Global Vehicle Sales Target

Hyundai Motor Company HYMTF said its 2022 global sales totaled 3.94 million units, a 1.4% increase year-on-year.
The sales missed the target of 4.3 million set by the company in the beginning of 2022, due to inflation and supply disruptions.
Hyundai’s December 2022 sales rose 4% Y/Y to 347,340 vehicles.

The IONIQ 5 and IONIQ 6 together recorded over 100,000 units of global sales in 2022., accelerating electrification.
The auto major aims to sell 4.32 million units in 2023, with 3.54 million units in overseas markets and 781,000 units in Korea.

Price Action: HYMTF shares closed lower by 1.21% at $29.75 on Friday.
