  • J C Penney Company Inc (NYSE: JCP) shares rose 3 percent to $9.80 in pre-market trading. Bank of America upgraded J C Penney from Neutral to Buy.
  • Big Lots, Inc. (NYSE: BIG) shares rose 2.8 percent to $52.20 in pre-market trading after the company reported mixed results for its third quarter in a challenging retail industry scenario. The company’s earnings beat Street view, while sales fell short of consensus.

  • CEL-SCI Corporation (NYSE: CVM) fell 44.5 percent to $0.100 in pre-market trading after the company reported the pricing of $4.25 million public offering of common stock and warrants.
  • Workday Inc (NYSE: WDAY) shares fell 12.6 percent to $71.31 in pre-market trading. Workday posted better-than-expected results for its third quarter on Thursday.
  • G-III Apparel Group, Ltd. (NASDAQ: GIII) shares fell 10 percent to $24.20 in pre-market trading after the company posted weaker-than-expected Q3 results and lowered its FY17 outlook.
  • DRDGOLD Ltd. (ADR) (NYSE: DRD) fell 9.3 percent to $4.29 in pre-market trading after gaining 4.88 percent on Thursday.
  • Hoegh LNG Partners LP (NYSE: HMLP) fell 9.1 percent to $17.40 in pre-market trading. Hoegh LNG Partners priced its upsized public offering of 6,000,000 common units at $17.60 per unit.
  • Companhia Siderurgica Nacional (ADR) (NYSE: SID) shares fell 7 percent to $3.17 in pre-market trading after dropping 3.40 percent on Thursday.
  • Fairmount Santrol Holdings Inc (NYSE: FMSA) fell 7 percent to $8.85 in pre-market trading. Fairmount Santrol priced its 20 million share secondary common stock offering by ASP FML Holdings for gross proceeds of $175 million.
  • Pershing Gold Corp (NASDAQ: PGLC) shares fell 6.9 percent to $3.50 in pre-market trading after the company reported an offering of common shares.
  • Smith & Wesson Holding Corp (NASDAQ: SWHC) shares fell 6.2 percent to $22.50 in pre-market trading. Smith & Wesson reported upbeat results for its second quarter, but issued a weak outlook for its third quarter.
  • Ambarella Inc (NASDAQ: AMBA) fell 5.7 percent to $57.90 in pre-market trading. Ambarella posted stronger-than-expected results for its third quarter, but issued a weak revenue forecast for the current quarter.
  • SM Energy Co (NYSE: SM) shares fell 4.2 percent to $38.50 in pre-market trading. SM Energy priced its upsized common stock offering of 9.5 million shares for gross proceeds of $363.4 million.
  • Starbucks Corporation (NASDAQ: SBUX) shares fell 3.3 percent to $56.61 in the pre-market trading session after the company disclosed that Howard Schultz will be stepping down as chief executive officer of the company. Kevin Johnson will takeover CEO duties on April 3, 2017.
  • Lululemon Athletica inc. (NASDAQ: LULU) dropped 3.2 percent to $54.74 in pre-market trading. Canaccord Genuity downgraded Lululemon from Hold to Sell and lowered the price target from $65.00 to $44.00.
  • Ascena Retail Group Inc (NASDAQ: ASNA) fell 2.2 percent to $5.70 in pre-market trading as the company reported downbeat earnings for its first quarter on Thursday.
