Worst Performing Industries For November 28, 2016


The Dow fell 0.33 percent 19,089.53, while the NASDAQ composite index dropped 0.21 percent to 5,387.77. The broader Standard & Poor's 500 index fell 0.30 percent to 2,206.73.

The worst performing industries in the market today are:

  • Toys & Games: This industry slipped 1.9 percent by 11:00 am. The worst stock within the industry was Hasbro, Inc. HAS, which fell 2.6 percent. Piper Jaffray downgraded Hasbro from Overweight to Neutral.
  • Electronics Stores: This industry declined 1.8 percent by 11:00 am with GameStop Corp. GME moving down 2.3 percent. GameStop shares have dropped 26.29 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 6.39 percent in the same period.
  • Computer Peripherals: The industry dropped 1.6 percent by 11:00 am. The worst performer in this industry was 3D Systems Corporation DDD, which declined 2 percent. 3D Systems shares have climbed 63.16 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 6.39 percent in the same period.
  • Catalog & Mail Order Houses: This industry fell 1.5 percent by 11:00 am ET. Baozun Inc (ADR) BZUN shares dropped 3.3 percent in today's trading.
