The industries that are driving the market today are:

  • Publishing - Books: This industry gained 2.3 percent by 10:30 am. The top stock within the industry was Pearson PLC (ADR) (NYSE: PSO), which gained 3.6 percent. Pearson shares have dropped 23.06 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 4.57 percent in the same period.
  • Electronics Stores: This industry rose 2.2 percent by 10:30 am ET. The top performer in this industry was Best Buy Co Inc (NYSE: BBY), which gained 2.3 percent. Best Buy’s PEG ratio is 1.19.
  • Cement: The industry gained 2.2 percent by 10:30 am. The top performer in this industry was Cemex SAB de CV (ADR) (NYSE: CX) which gained 2.3 percent. Cemex shares have climbed 32.10 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has surged 4.57 percent in the same period.
  • Nonmetallic Mineral Mining: This industry moved up 2.1 percent by 10:30 am. The top performer in this industry was Yanzhou Coal Mining Co Ltd (ADR) (NYSE: YZC), which rose 4.5 percent.
