At 10:30 am, the Dow fell 0.05 percent to 18,129.28, the broader Standard & Poor's 500 index moved down 0.05 percent to 2,131.85 and the NASDAQ composite index declined 0.04 percent to 5,212.21.

The industries that are still afloat in the market today are:

  • Toys & Games: This industry gained 4.5 percent by 10:30 am. The top stock within the industry was Hasbro, Inc. HAS, which gained 7.4 percent. Hasbro reported better-than-expected results for the third quarter.
  • Cement: This industry rose 1.5 percent by 10:30 am ET. The top performer in this industry was Cemex SAB de CV (ADR) CX, which gained 1.9 percent. Cemex shares have climbed 12.04 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has increased 4.88 percent in the same period.
  • Nonmetallic Mineral Mining: The industry gained 0.8 percent by 10:30 am. The top performer in this industry was Dominion Diamond Corp DDC, which gained 2.6 percent. Dominion Diamond shares have dropped 15.18 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 4.88 percent in the same period.
  • Photographic Equipment & Supplies: This industry moved up 0.8 percent by 10:30 am. The top performer in this industry was GoPro Inc GPRO, which rose 0.8 percent.
