  • Mast Therapeutics Inc (NYSE: MSTX) shares tumbled 80.3 percent to $0.116 after the company announced its phase-3 EPIC trial of vepoloxamer for the treatment of sickle cell disease patients experiencing vaso-occlusive crisis failed to meet its primary efficacy endpoint.
  • Mirna Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ: MIRN) shares fell 23.7 percent to $1.88 as the company disclosed that it has decided to close the Phase 1 clinical study of MRX34. Oppenheimer downgraded Mirna Therapeutics from Outperform to Perform.
  • CareDx Inc (NASDAQ: CDNA) declined 11.6 percent to $3.80. CareDx priced its 2.25 million share offering at $4 per share.
  • Sorl Auto Parts, Inc. (NASDAQ: SORL) shares fell 10.7 percent to $3.86. Greenridge Global downgraded SORL Auto from Buy to Hold
  • Skechers USA Inc (NYSE: SKX) shares dropped 9.5 percent to $21.02. Morgan Stanley downgraded Skechers USA from Overweight to Equal-weight and lowered the price target from $41.00 to $25.00.
  • Pacira Pharmaceuticals Inc (NASDAQ: PCRX) shares slipped 9.2 percent to $36.67. Pacira Pharmaceuticals shares have dropped 36.39 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 8.78 percent in the same period.
  • West Pharmaceutical Services Inc. (NYSE: WST) dropped 7.9 percent to $74.91. Wells Fargo downgraded West Pharmaceutical from Outperform to Market Perform.
  • La Jolla Pharmaceutical Company (NASDAQ: LJPC) shares declined 7.4 percent to $25.02. La Jolla Pharmaceutical shares have declined 29.19 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 8.78 percent in the same period.
  • Airgain Inc (NASDAQ: AIRG) dropped 5.9 percent to $15.17. Airgain reported Q2 earnings of $0.15 per share on revenue of $9.9 million. Wunderlich downgraded Airgain from Buy to Hold.
  • Childrens Place Inc (NASDAQ: PLCE) shares declined 4.1 percent to $79.42. Piper Jaffray downgraded Childrens Place from Overweight to Neutral and lowered the price target from $99 to $88.
  • CarMax, Inc (NYSE: KMX) shares fell 2.6 percent to $54.33 following Q2 results. While its adjusted earnings came in line, revenue was below Street estimates.
  • American Airlines Group Inc (NASDAQ: AAL) fell 2.3 percent to $34.33. Raymond James downgraded American Airlines from Outperform to Market Perform.
