At 10:30 am, the Dow fell 0.12 percent to 18,590.58, the broader Standard & Poor's 500 index moved down 0.10 percent to 2,183.51 and the NASDAQ composite index declined 0.13 percent to 5,221.40.

The industries that are still afloat in the market today are:

  • Semiconductor- Memory Chips: This industry gained 1.9 percent by 10:30 am. The top stock within the industry was SemiLEDs Corporation (NASDAQ: LEDS), which gained 4.5 percent. SemiLEDs shares have surged 54.67 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 4.78 percent in the same period.
  • Electronics Stores: This industry rose 1.6 percent by 10:30 am ET. The top performer in this industry was GameStop Corp. (NYSE: GME), which gained 1.3 percent. GameStop is projected to report Q2 results on August 25, 2016.
  • Dairy Products: The industry gained 1.3 percent by 10:30 am. The top performer in this industry was Dean Foods Co (NYSE: DF), which gained 1.3 percent. Dean Foods’ PEG ratio is 1.03.
  • Semiconductor - Specialized: This industry moved up 1.2 percent by 10:30 am. The top performer in this industry was Sunrun Inc (NASDAQ: RUN), which rose 23 percent. Sunrun posted strong Q2 results.
