The telecom service provider said that the device would weigh just 12.8 ounces and that Trek 2 HD has a polished, lightweight design, which performs Android Marshmallow OS. Also included was a bright 8-inch HD display, which is ideal for watching video from the user's favorite channels on DIRECTV.
AT&T said that its special features included dual front-facing speakers providing high quality sound while the battery size of 4,600 mAh offers a maximum of 10.5 hours of usage. The company used QUALCOMM, Inc. QCOM's Snapdragon 1.5Ghz Octa-core processor. The device would have an internal memory of 16 GH with an option to expand it to 128 GB. Its camera has 5-megapixel rear and front-facing cameras.
The telecom service provider's SVP, Jeff Bradley, said, "The Trek 2 HD is designed specifically with entertainment in mind, so you can enjoy your favorite video content when you're on-the-go. Whether you're a regular traveler with extra time on your hands for a TV show, or you want to see the latest sports highlights from the comfort of your couch, the Trek 2 HD provides a high quality video experience for less than a dollar with a two-year agreement."
Shares of the company traded $0.62 or 1.46 percent up at $43.20 on Friday.
