QLogic Corporation QLGC shares rose 10.04 percent to $14.90 in pre-market trading as Cavium announced plans to buy the company for about $1.36 billion.

EXACT Sciences Corporation EXAS shares rose 5.57 percent to $9.85 in pre-market trading after declining 0.64 percent on Wednesday.

Relypsa Inc RLYP rose 4.58 percent to $18.97 in pre-market trading following sales numbers for its drug Veltassa. Relypsa reported that for May 2016, 1,385 new patients started taking Veltassa with free starter supply. Wedbush maintained Relypsa with an Outperform rating.

AudioCodes Ltd. AUDC rose 3.66 percent to $3.97 in pre-market trading as the company reported the commencement of self-tender offer for up to 3 million shares.

Smith & Wesson Holding Corp SWHC rose 3.35 percent to $22.20 in pre-market trading. Smith & Wesson is expected to post quarterly earnings after the closing bell.

Tonix Pharmaceuticals Holding Corp. TNXP shares fell 18.70 percent to $2.00 in pre-market trading. Tonix Pharma priced 5 million shares at $2 per share.

Cavium Inc CAVM shares fell 15.29 percent to $40.90 in pre-market trading as the company announced plans to buy QLogic for about $1.36 billion.

Korn/Ferry International KFY shares fell 8.04 percent to $25.40. Korn/Ferry posted upbeat results for its fourth quarter on Wednesday.

Envision Healthcare Holdings Inc EVHC shares fell 7.82 percent to $25.36 in pre-market trading. Envision Healthcare and Amsurg Corp AMSG reported that they would merge in an all-stock deal.

Pioneer Natural Resources PXD shares fell 3.38 percent to $157.00 in pre-market trading. Pioneer Natural Resources priced its 5.25 million share offering for gross proceeds of $827 million.
