The Playboy Mansion is being sold to Daren Metropoulos, a Principal at Metropoulos & Co. Metropoulos owns Pabst Blue Ribbon, and the neighboring home to the mansion, which he bought in 2009 for $18 million.
The Wall Street Journal reports the home was listed for $200 million by Mauricio Umansky of the Agency with Gary Gold and Drew Fenton of Hilton, part of Hilton Hotels Corproation Common Stock HLT & Hyland.
There is no confirmation on the exact price the home sold for, but the contract is in the works as of June 6.
WSJ reported that Metropoulos plans to combine the 20,000-square-foot home with his own to create a large, singular property. The mansion is one of the only private residences in Los Angeles that has a zoo license.
On June 1, the Australian Business Review posted that the sale of the mansion ties in with Playboy Enterprises chief executive Scott Flanders leaving the company to join private health insurance exchange, eHealth Inc., as its CEO.
