Stocks Hitting 52-Week Highs

Markel shares have surged 24.94 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has declined 4.05 percent in the same period. Applied Materials, Inc. AMAT shares gained 13.11 percent to reach a new 52-week high of $22.52 after the company reported better-than-expected results for its second quarter and issued a strong forecast for the current quarter. NVIDIA Corporation NVDA shares gained 2.02 percent to touch a new 52-week high of $44.43. NVIDIA shares have jumped 108.77 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has dropped 4.05 percent in the same period.
