Gainers

Ocean Rig UDW Inc. (NASDAQ: ORIG) rose 40.88 percent to $2.55 in pre-market trading after the company reported stronger-than-expected quarterly results.

InterOil Corporation (USA) (NYSE: IOC) rose 26.25 percent to $40.02 in pre-market trading after Oil Search Ltd. agreed to acquire InterOil in a deal valued at around $2.2 billion.

Paragon Shipping Inc. (NASDAQ: PRGN) shares rose 12.11 percent to $2.13 in pre-market trading after surging 69.64 percent on Thursday.

Applied Materials, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMAT) shares rose 7.99 percent to $21.50 in the pre-market trading session after the company reported better-than-expected results for its second quarter and issued a strong forecast for the current quarter.

Sarepta Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ: SRPT) shares rose 7.39 percent to $18.90 in pre-market trading after gaining 2.86 percent on Thursday.

AIXTRON SE (ADR) (NASDAQ: AIXG) shares rose 5.80 percent to $5.29 in the pre-market trading session after gaining 6.16 percent on Thursday.

Abraxas Petroleum Corp. (NASDAQ: AXAS) shares fell 19.55 percent to $1.07. Abraxas Petroleum expected FY16 total production of 6,000 to 6,400 boepd and reported an offering of 25 million shares.

Ross Stores, Inc. (NASDAQ: ROST) shares 6.34 percent to $52.00 in pre-market trading. Ross Stores reported in-line earnings for the first quarter, but missed analysts’ sales estimates.

Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ: YHOO) shares fell 5.05 percent to $35.15 in pre-market trading following a concerning report from The Wall Street Journal that the company's asset sale process may not be proceeding according to plans.

Foot Locker, Inc. (NYSE: FL) fell 3.04 percent to $56.77 in pre-market trading. Foot Locker reported in-line quarterly earnings, but the company’s revenue came in slightly short of analysts' expectations.
