The top performer in this industry was Sears Holdings Corp SHLD, which rose 2.3 percent. Sears shares have dropped 74.20 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has declined 3.90 percent in the same period. Discount, Variety Stores: This industry rose 4.2 percent by 10:30 am ET. The top performer in this industry was Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. WMT, which gained 9 percent. Wal-Mart reported stronger-than-expected Q1 results. Sporting Goods Stores: The industry gained 3.9 percent by 10:30 am. The top performer in this industry was Dicks Sporting Goods Inc DKS, which gained 7.9 percent. Dicks Sporting posted upbeat quarterly earnings, but issued a weak forecast for the full year. Networking & Communication Devices: This industry moved up 3.1 percent by 10:30 am. The top performer in this industry was Cisco Systems, Inc. CSCO, which rose 4 percent. Cisco reported better-than-expected earnings for its third quarter and issued a strong forecast for the current quarter.
