The Dow fell 0.04 percent to 18,089.38, while the NASDAQ composite index gained 0.22 percent to 4,958.92. The broader Standard & Poor's 500 index fell 0.02 percent to 2,101.95. The worst performing industries in the market today are: Toys & Games: This industry slipped 4.2 percent by 11:00 am. The worst stock within the industry was Mattel, Inc. MAT, which fell 7.6 percent. Mattel reported a wider-than-expected Q1 loss. Resorts & Casinos: This industry declined 2.5 percent by 11:00 am with Las Vegas Sands Corp. LVS moving down 11 percent. Las Vegas Sands reported weaker-than-expected Q1 results. Cigarettes: This industry fell 1.9 percent by 11:00 am ET. Vapor Corp VPCO shares dropped 25 percent in today's trading. Vapor shares have dropped 99.80 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has declined 0.50 percent in the same period. Telecom Services - Domestic: The industry dropped 1.5 percent by 11:00 am. The worst performer in this industry was Verizon Communications Inc. VZ, which declined 2.6 percent. Verizon reported Q1 earnings of $1.06 per share on revenue of $32.2 billion.
