McDonald's Said To have Placed Its Korean Unit Up For Sale

According to a report by The Korea Herald, McDonald's Corporation MCD is looking to sell its Korean unit. The Korea Herald, citing "industry sources," stated that McDonald's has tapped financial advisers to advice them on a sale but it is unclear if it is looking to sell the entire unit or just a part of it. McDonald's has been shopping around for strategic partners across Asia to help improve slumping sales and acquire a partner with expert local knowledge of the market. Shares of McDonald's were trading higher by 0.26 percent heading into the final hour of trading on Monday.
