said, in a statement, that its Senatobia production facility was recommended Star Status Recertification for Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) by the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA). The Star Status designation has been termed as the highest certification level and was provided to firms with exemplary safety and health management systems, according to the company. RR Donnelley's COO, Dan Knotts, said that "This important recertification and renewed accomplishment is a direct result of our employees' continuing commitment to operational excellence. Overall, our five VPP Star Status-certified facilities have evolved into models of excellence and serve to influence best practices industry-wide. Among the many milestones that RR Donnelley achieves, those involving safety are our most important and we remain exceedingly proud of the accomplishments of our Senatobia employees." Similarly, the company's SVP for Environmental, Health, Safety and Quality, & CSO, Michael Manzella, commented, "The VPP certification is a lengthy process. As part of the evaluation, OSHA also conducts extensive interviews directly with employees as an important barometer of a company's overall safety and health program. We are particularly proud that representatives from OSHA expressed admiration for the knowledge, dedication and commitment of our employees." On Friday, the stock ended 1.57% higher.
