Energous's CEO, Stephen Rizzone, told Reuters that his company is in talks to license its wireless charging technology to at least six customers. The company has already signed agreements with electronics manufacturers, most recently with Pegatron.
However, Rizzone told Reuters that the company is aiming to sign up new partners "at the rate of one per month" given the fact that the company has "more interest in companies than we can support." He added that the wireless charging technology could be an attractive feature for an electronics maker and can be included in products that sell for as little as $100.
