The Dow rose 0.21 percent to 17,000.47, while the NASDAQ composite index gained 0.26 percent to 4,660.94. The broader Standard & Poor's 500 index climbed 0.37 percent to 1,986.59. The worst performing industries in the market today are: Nonmetallic Mineral Mining: This industry declined 2.3 percent by 11:00 am with Yanzhou Coal Mining Co Ltd (ADR) YZC moving down 5.2 percent. Yanzhou Coal Mining shares have tumbled 33.38 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has dropped 2.99 percent in the same period. Specialty Retail, Other: This industry fell 1.9 percent by 11:00 am ET. Zagg Inc ZAGG shares dropped 13.7 percent in today's trading. Zagg reported downbeat results for its fourth quarter and announced the closing of its acquisition of mophiefor $100 million. Industrial Metals & Minerals: The industry dropped 1.7 percent by 11:00 am. The worst performer in this industry was Energy Fuels Inc Ordinary Shares (Canada) UUUU, which declined 18.5 percent. Energy Fuels reported the pricing of US$10.5 million underwritten offering of common units. Jewelry Stores: This industry slipped 1.3 percent by 11:00 am. The worst stock within the industry was DGSE Companies, Inc. DGSE, which fell 3.3 percent.
