The worst performing industries in the market today are: Long Distance Carriers: This industry declined 5.2 percent by 11:00 am with Elephant Talk Communications Corp ETAK moving down 8.3 percent. Elephant Talk Communications shares have declined 59.32 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has dropped 5.45 percent in the same period. General Entertainment: This industry fell 2.1 percent by 11:00 am ET. Carnival plc (ADR) CUK shares dropped 2.5 percent in today's trading. Carnival shares have gained 7.62 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has dropped 5.45 percent in the same period. Specialty Eateries: The industry dropped 1.9 percent by 11:00 am. The worst performer in this industry was Starbucks Corporation SBUX, which declined 1.9 percent. Starbucks will open its first store in South Africa next month, Reuters reported. Healthcare Information Services: This industry slipped 1.8 percent by 11:00 am. The worst stock within the industry was Teladoc Inc TDOC, which fell 4.9 percent. Teladoc reported better-than-expected results for its fourth quarter, but the company issued a weak earnings forecast for the full year.
