Report: Apple Testing Dual-Lens Camera Samples From Various Suppliers For Use In Future iPhone Device

Apple Inc. AAPL may be exploring the use of dual-lens in its future iPhone devices, according to a report by DigiTimes. According to DigiTimes, Largan Technology, Apple's smartphone camera provider, along with competing camera lens makers in China and Japan have sent Apple dual-lens camera samples for testing. DigiTimes, citing "sources from the upsteam supply chain," noted that "market watchers" are expecting Apple to adopt a dual-lens camera to boost demand for future iPhones. The report also noted that several China-based smartphone makers such as Lenovo, ZTE and Qiku already use dual-lens cameras in their respective smartphone products. Shares of Apple were trading lower by 1.13 percent at $95.34 late Tuesday morning.
