According to Re/code, Twitter Inc TWTR is looking to hire Natalie Kerris to run the company's communications unit.
Kerris was a key member of Apple Inc. AAPL's public relations and communications department. She was vying to be Apple's PR head, but the company ultimately named Steve Dowling as its corporate public relations chief.
Kerris retired from Apple after a 14-year career back in April 2015.

Re/code reported that Kerris has spent "a lot of time" talking with Twitter executives and is the lead candidate to head the company's communications department.
