Probes Reporter: Walgreens Facing Undisclosed SEC Investigation

Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc WBA faces an on-going SEC investigation that the company has not yet disclosed, according to a report by Probes Reporter. Probes Reporter stated that it received information from the SEC in the form of a letter dated September 24, 2015 that Walgreens Boots was involved in an "unspecified SEC investigative activity" that was undisclosed at the time. The report added that in a letter dated November 20, 2015, the SEC confirmed Walgreens Boots involvement in an on-going " enforcement proceedings." "All we know about the SEC probe at this time is that it somehow pertains to the conduct, transactions, and/or disclosures of Walgreens Boots Alliance, Inc. (fka, Walgreen Co.)," Probes Reporter wrote. Shares of Walgreens were trading higher by more than 1 percent early Friday morning at $82.00.
