At 10:30 am, the Dow fell 0.31 percent to 17,665.43, the broader Standard & Poor's 500 index moved down 0.40 percent to 2,070.11 and the NASDAQ composite index slipped 0.53 percent to 5,080.77.

The industries that are still afloat in the market today are:

Personal Services: This industry gained 1.1 percent by 10:30 am. The top performer in this industry was Weight Watchers International, Inc.(NYSE: WTW), which rose 13 percent. Over the past three months, shares of Weight Watchers International have gained more than 200 percent in large part due to media mogul Oprah Winfrey's decision to buy a 10 percent stake in the company.

Computer Peripherals: This industry rose 0.8 percent by 10:30 am ET. The top performer in this industry was Logitech International SA (USA) (NASDAQ: LOGI), which gained 0.8 percent. Logitech on Tuesday a spin-off of its Lifesize division which will now become a private entity called Lifesize, Inc.

General Entertainment: The industry gained 0.7 percent by 10:30 am. The top performer in this industry was SFX Entertainment Inc (NASDAQ: SFXE), which gained 2.2 percent. SFX Entertainment shares have dropped 95.59 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 0.95 percent in the same period.

Medical Equipment Wholesale: This industry moved up 0.6 percent by 10:30 am. The top performer in this industry was PharMerica Corporation (NYSE: PMC), which rose 1.6 percent.
