According to a 13-D filing released on Wednsday, Resolute Investments Ltd. now owns 39.1 percent of all outstanding shares of Teekay Tankers Ltd. TNK, a provider of marine transportation to the oil industries.
Between December 28 and December 29, Resolute Investments acquired 1.422 million shares of Teekay's common stock in open-market purchases.
Over the past 60 days, Resolute Investments purchased an aggregate of 3.168 million shares of Teekay's common stock. The investment firm now holds 28.430 million shares of Teekay's common stock.
On December 2, 2013, Resolute Investments lowered its investment stake in Teekay to 36 percent from 44 percent.
