US Stock Futures Edge Higher Ahead Of Economic Data

Pre-open movers US stock futures traded higher in early pre-market trade. The Chicago PMI for November will be released at 9:45 a.m. ET, while pending home sales index for October will be released at 10:00 a.m. ET. The Dallas Fed manufacturing index for November will be released at 10:30 a.m. ET. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 19.5 points to 17,820.5, while the Standard & Poor's 500 index futures rose 1.50 points to 2,091.50. Futures for the Nasdaq 100 index gained 10.25 points to 4,692.75. A Peek Into Global Markets European markets were higher today, with the Spanish Ibex Index rising 0.90 percent, STOXX Europe 600 Index surging 0.46 percent and German DAX 30 index gaining 1.01 percent. French CAC 40 Index climbed 0.73 percent and London's FTSE 100 Index rose 0.01 percent. In Asian markets, Japan's Nikkei Stock Average fell 0.69 percent, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index fell 0.33 percent, China's Shanghai Composite Index surged 0.26 percent and India's BSE Sensex jumped 0.07 percent.
