US Stock Futures Down; JPMorgan Earnings In Focus

Pre-open movers US stock futures traded lower in early pre-market trade. Johnson & Johnson JNJ and JPMorgan Chase & Co. JPM are scheduled to report their quarterly earnings today. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average dipped 64 points to 16,976.0, while the Standard & Poor's 500 index futures fell 8 points to 2,003.00. Futures for the Nasdaq 100 index slipped 22.25 points to 4,352.75. A Peek Into Global Markets European markets were lower today, with the Spanish Ibex Index declining 1.73 percent, STOXX Europe 600 Index dropping 1.35 percent and German DAX 30 index dropping 1.33 percent. French CAC 40 Index declined 1.74 percent and London's FTSE 100 Index fell 0.89 percent. In Asian markets, Japan's Nikkei Stock Average declined 1.11 percent, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index fell 0.57 percent, China's Shanghai Composite Index jumped 0.17 percent and India's BSE Sensex slipped 0.21 percent. Broker Recommendation Analysts at Morgan Stanley upgraded Toll Brothers Inc TOL from Equal-weight to Overweight. The price target for Toll Brothers has been raised from $39 to $44.
