Mid-Day Market Update: Friday's Top 10 Volume Stocks
The Dow Jones Industrial Index sunk another 1.57 percent, the S&P 500 declined 1.60 percent, the NASDAQ Composite dwindled 1.75 percent, and the U.S. Dollar Index fell 0.55 percent in Friday’s high volatile trading session.
The following were the top 10 volume stocks for the day:
- Bank of America Corp (NYSE: BAC) came in first again on Friday with volumes of ~66.72 million, below its three-month average of ~82.34 million.
- Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) had volumes of ~56.5 million, slightly below its average of ~56.96 million.
- Facebook Inc (NASDAQ: FB) came in third in Friday’s midday session with volumes of ~33.15 million, slightly below its average of ~33.37 million.
- Sunedison Inc (NYSE: SUNE) had volumes of ~26.3 million, below its average of ~29.88 million.
- Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: MSFT) made it on Friday’s list with volumes of ~26.1 million, below its average of ~30.46 million.
- Intel Corporation (NASDAQ: INTC) had volumes of ~22.7 million, below its average of ~31.55 million.
- General Electric Company (NYSE: GE) made it to the list with volumes of ~22.55 million, below its average of ~26.19 million.
- Cisco Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CSCO) had volumes of ~21.76 million, below its average of ~25.80 million.
- Micron Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: MU) had volumes of ~21.84 million, below its average of ~35.33 million.
