MGN, which gained 13 percent. Mines Management reported that the U.S. District Court of Montana, Missoula Division ruled in favor of the company regarding claims located near the Montanore project. Appliances: The industry gained 1.1 percent by 10:30 am. The top performer in this industry was Whirlpool Corporation WHR, which gained 1.1 percent. On Tuesday, Whirlpool's board declared a quarterly dividend of $0.90 per share on common stock. Discount, Variety Stores: This industry rose 0.6 percent by 10:30 am ET. The top performer in this industry was Target Corporation TGT, which gained 4.1 percent. Target reported stronger-than-expected earnings for the second quarter and raised its profit forecast for the year. Nonmetallic Mineral Mining: This industry jumped 0.4 percent by 10:30 am. The top performer in this industry was SunCoke Energy Partners LP SXCP, which rose 3.8 percent. SunCoke Energy Partners shares have dropped 55.06 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 5.56 percent in the same period.
